Big Food Conceals

Big Food Conceals

Some of our favorite big food companies are spending millions each year to keep us in the dark when it comes to what’s in our food and how it’s grown. Major food companies combined have spent more than $100 million on anti-labeling campaigns. And the Grocery Manufacturers Association, which includes a lengthy list of large food company members, is one of the main supporters of the dangerous DARK Act, which would prevent mandatory FDA labeling.

In 2015 alone, Coca-Cola spent $5 million lobbying in Washington, which includes trying to block mandatory FDA labeling of GMOs. Since 2012, Coca-Cola has spent more than $5.4 million on state-based campaigns to deny mandatory labeling of GMO foods.

Many of these brands pride themselves on an honest and healthy image, but they are not being fully transparent to parents, families and consumers across the country. Learn more about the big money fighting our right to know and join the Conceal or Reveal movement!
